Room-by-Room Paint Schedule
Net wall area per room, coats, and a product summary with colour codes and batch numbers.
A paint order is really three orders — walls, ceilings, and trim — in different sheens and often different colours. This sheet separates them per room and then rolls them into a product summary, which is the list you actually hand over at the counter. The batch column exists because touching up months later with a different batch is visible.
How to fill it in
- Gross wall area is perimeter × height. Perimeter is 2 × (length + width).
- Deduct 21 square feet per standard door and 15 per standard window.
- Multiply net area by coats, then divide by the coverage rate for the surface you are painting.
- Keep ceiling and trim on their own rows — different product, different sheen.
- Total by product in the summary, and record the colour code and batch number for touch-ups.
