Mobile App Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies to the ProBuilderCalc mobile application ("the app") available on Google Play and the Apple App Store. It explains what information the app handles, how it is used, and your choices.

• The app does not require an account or login.
• Calculator inputs are processed on your device — we do not receive or store them.
• The current version of the app does not display advertisements and does not include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
• We may add Google AdMob advertising in a future app update. If we do, the "Advertising (Future Updates)" section below will apply.
• We do not sell your personal information.

Information We Collect

Calculator inputs: Values you enter into any calculator (dimensions, costs, quantities, etc.) are used only on your device to produce results. They are not transmitted to our servers and are not stored by us after you close the app.

Personal information: The app does not ask you to provide your name, email address, phone number, or other personal details. We do not collect personal information through the app.

Device and usage data: The current version of the app does not include analytics tracking (such as Google Analytics or Firebase Analytics) and does not collect device identifiers or usage statistics.

Internet Access

The app may request network access for:

• Opening external links you choose to tap (e.g. email, our website, LinkedIn profiles)
• Loading our website contact form in your browser when you choose that option

In versions that include advertising, network access is also used to load Google AdMob ads (see below).

Third-Party Services

When you tap links inside the app — such as Contact Us, About Us, or a team member's LinkedIn profile — you leave the app and are subject to that third party's privacy policy and terms. For example:

• Email links open your device's mail app (handled by your email provider)
• Website links open probuildercalc.com in your browser
• LinkedIn links open linkedin.com in your browser or LinkedIn app

Advertising (Future Updates)

Current status: The app does not display ads at this time. We plan to introduce advertising in a future update using Google AdMob. When that update is released, this policy will apply to ad-related data:

AdMob is a Google service that may collect and use data to show ads, measure ad performance, and prevent fraud. Depending on your device settings and region, Google and its advertising partners may collect information such as:

• Advertising ID (AAID on Android / IDFA on iOS, where available)
• Device type, operating system version, and language
• IP address (approximate location)
• Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)
• App activity related to ad delivery (e.g. which screens display ads)

This data is processed by Google in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy and Google's Advertising Policy. We do not control how Google uses this data. We may receive aggregate reporting through the AdMob publisher dashboard but do not receive individual user ad profiles.

Personalized ads: Google may use mobile identifiers and similar technologies to serve personalized ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising by:

• Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization
• iOS: Settings → Privacy → Apple Advertising → turn off Personalized Ads
• Visiting Google Ad Settings
• Visiting Network Advertising Initiative opt-out

In regions where required by law (including the EEA, UK, and Switzerland), we will present a consent message before personalized ads are shown, in line with Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) requirements.

When ads are enabled, we will update the Play Store listing and app store metadata to indicate that the app contains ads, and we will update the "Last updated" date on this page.

App Store & Play Store

Google and Apple may collect certain information when you download or update the app through their stores (e.g. purchase history, device type). That collection is governed by their respective privacy policies, not this one.

Children's Privacy

The app is a general-purpose construction calculator tool and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. Because the current version of the app does not collect personal data, these rights generally do not apply to in-app usage today.

California (CCPA): If we enable AdMob advertising in a future update, ad data collected by Google may constitute "sharing" under CCPA. California residents may use the opt-out options listed in the Advertising section above.

EEA / UK (GDPR): If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom and we enable ads, ad consent will be managed through Google's consent flow where required. Contact us or Google for requests related to ad data Google processes as an independent controller.

Data Retention

Calculator inputs exist only on your device for the duration of your session and are not retained by us. If advertising is enabled in a future version, ad-related data retention is governed by Google's policies and your device ad settings.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this mobile app privacy policy from time to time — for example, when we add advertising or release new features. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
